Aquilano Rimondi Autumn/Winter 2012 from Milan Fashion Week

Aquilano Rimondi runway show at Milan Fashion Week was extraordinaire. I loved the prints, tailored suits, and dresses.  The way that the collection was styled exemplified a mature women that can go from work to a dinner party.  I love the detailing on the every garment, especially the dresses.  This collection is superb!

The Oscars Red Carpet Fashion

As you all know the 84th Academy Awards aired last night.  I however did not get a chance to watch it, but thank God for the internet!  Most of the celebs that I saw looked AMAZING. A variety of dresses, colors, and textures. I wish that I can cover more of the looks, but there are a lot of them. The celeb that I think got best dressed is Louise Roe wearing a chic belted Black Halo dress.  This look is not the average gown, but yet it served it's purpose.

 Angelina Jolie wearing Atelier Versace.  She looks stunning in that dress with the thigh high split.  Nothing wrong with showing some leg girl!

Viola, Viola, Viola. Viola Davis looked GORGEOUS in her emerald green strapless Vera Wang dress. I love the hair, the simple jewelry, and the clutch: just fabulous.

Let me not forget about that Louis Vuitton worn by Michelle Williams.  She looked timeless.  I love everything about her.

Now let's talk about the looks that should've stayed on the hanger.  Leila Hatami girl why did you wear that to the Oscars.  I love the look, but just not for the Oscars.  She looks like she's a nun, a fashionable one.

Sara Hyland looked like she was going to prom, one chop! 

Sheri Shepherd looked a mess to me. Her dress was everything but right.  Try again girl.

The Oscars airs tonight, what will the girls have on?!?!?!

I am excited to see what the celebs will be wearing tonight at the 84th Academy Awards.  I will let you know my best dressed pick and the worst dressed pick.  I aspire to one day style a celeb or two, why not three for the Oscars.  I just have one request for tonight: please celebs, come dressed for the gods!

Milan Fashion Week is happening!

People from near and far have gathered in the scenic Milan, Italy for Milan Fashion Week(MFW). Designers are showcasing Fall looks for the world to see.  I wish I could be present, but you know how that goes.  Seeing pictures from runway shows and street style makes me wish I had super powers so I can magically appear in Milan stomping the streets with others that would die for fashion. 

The list of designers that are having shows at MFW is long.  Alberta Ferretti, Fendi, Emilio Pucci, Prada, and Versace are among the other high-fashion designers that made the list.  Out of all the collections that I have seen thus far, Ter Et Bantine A/W '12 is my fav.  The looks have different textures; including leathers and furs, hats, and over-sized detailed jackets.  I so can see myself pumping down the runway in one of these looks.  I'm loving the collections at MFW '12!

So Miami Beach International Fashion Week is March 21st through the 24th and guess who will be in Miami then, ME!!!! I am excited to see the fashion in Miami. Keep a look out for pics to come!

In the beginning the fashion gods mastered a plan.  A visionary and life changing plan; bringing to life fashion icons that were to impact society as we know it.  They were born to slay, stitch, and snatch EVERY aspect of fashion.  For generations fashion has crossbred with other cultures: American, Asian, and European, to name a few.  Passing down trends, legacies, and point-of-views that we love and admire.  Fashion Weeks in fashion capitals across the globe depict a divergent expression of fashion.  Forecasting and merchandising trends, designers, and must-haves for the season.  Having fashion editorials like Vogue, V, and Elle in the hands of readers; seeing the visions that was thought of brought to life in artistic and avant garde spreads.  Fashion houses such as Chanel, Balenciaga, and Alexander McQueen(RIP), gives the world looks that can go into their personal wardrobe and can be worn to parties, school, or even just having tea with the girls.  The birth of fashion, from the gods up high, is the best thing that could happen in this lifetime. Forever serving....forever expressive..........forever couture!
